Does Fitbit Charge automatically update my BMR as I lose weight?

Each day I wake up and type in my weight into the app. On the weight progress screen. By doing this does the software know to change my BMR each day as weight drops? I ask because if it's showing same BMR when I'm 205 as it did at 230 it will vastly overestimate calories burner. Thanks.

Short answer, yes.

If you go to your Settings, Personal Info, Body Info, you'll see that Fitbit is updating your entered weight there to reflect your last weight log entry. I've also seen my BMR per 15 minutes or 5 minutes decrease on the appropriate charts over my 25-pound weight loss. I started at 228 and I'm down to 203. My BMR has dropped from 1,835 to 1,722. Over that time Fitbit has dropped my hourly BMR from 76 to 72, so I'd say that's accurate.
