Edit Swim distance

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I use the swim exercise app to track my daily swim, but as mentioned elsewhere, the number of lengths, distance is never accurate. As such, I edit the distance in the IOS app after the swim.

Noticed today that distance was not an option when I choose edit exercise details - only the start and end time. Before today it was fine. Has something changed ?

Since this question is about the iOS app and not the trackers hardware, I've moved the post to the iOS board.

After two days of not being able to edit the swim distance after using the swim exercise app, on my swim today I decided to try not using the app, but inputting manually after my swim.

Being a manual input, I was able to correctly enter the swim length and start / end time (had to fudge the calories though as the auto generated was way off what I usually get with the app).

Thing is, how I am able to edit the previous two days swim lengths. Not sure is this is as a result of creating a new manual entry or something has changed again on the Fitbit end.

Still confused........

p.s. the inability to edit swim distance was also on the Fitbit.com dashboard and not limited to the IOS app.

The inability to edit distance is on all 5 versions of the dashboard.

Yes when manually adding an event, you are requested to input a step count or distance. This is creating an event, not editing an event. This manual entry is still unable to be edited.

Have you thought about adding your vote? It doesn't seem to be popular, this request needs to be better advertised.

Editing Exercises Distance

Thanks.

i understand that creating an event gives me control of all inputs - that is why I switched to that method,

My point is that after I did this, I was now able to edit the swim distance of the previous two days entries that had been captured by the swim exercise app. I don’t know if this is as a result of creating the manual entry that cleared some bug or changes at Fitbit end.

I will revert to the exercise app on my next swim and see if I can edit afterwards.
