Hi,
I haven’t seen a solution to this, so trying a post here.
When I edit the distance on a run, it immediately reverts it back - why is this? I can edit the time, and it doesn’t happen, ONLY with the distance. Have tried:
Log out from your Fitbit account
- Reboot your phone
- Log back in to your Fitbit account
- Try to enter the distance again
Didn’t work. Have the newest firmware, app is updated and iOS is updated.
This is extremely annoying and making me regret my purchase.

Hello @SheilaMcB and welcome to the Community. I can see from your public profile that you are a fairly new user and you added on to an older thread. You don't say what model Fitbit you use, but Rowing Machine is a shortcut on the Sense 2 and Versa 4. For all other models, you should use the Workout shortcut, not Run. You can rename Workout to many other types of workouts. I'm surprised you were able to change a run. I'm a long time user -- if you choose Run on the Exercise app, it's Run and you can't change it.
With respect to the end time, I don't think I have ever had that issue. I can also change start and end times if an auto recognized activity gets it wrong. The duration fixes itself on a re-sync.
