Estimated "remaining calories" not displaying on iOS app

Hi everyone,

I used to have a Google phone, hence I got a Fitbit.

I switched to iPhone in November and, since then, I've been missing a key feature.

The dynamic calorie tracker, which displays an estimate of your remaining calories left for the day, based on your activity levels, has gone.

I've attached images so you can see. The main dash in the app shows how many calories I've consumed and burned, but provides no dynamic estimate for what I've got left. This is the same on the "food" page.

Despite having been for a run, it says I'm still over budget (I'm aiming for a 500 daily deficit atm).

However, when I log onto the online dashboard, this shows as it used to. Images provided at the bottom of this post.

Is this just an iPhone app missing feature? If so, is there a date for when this will be added?

Or is this something not displaying correctly in my app on my phone?

Any advice welcome!

Thanks,

Katherine

Welcome to the forums, @KatherineMJ.

Thanks for the detailed information and the screenshots provided. I'd like to explain to you that with the new Fitbit app layout, the estimated calories left to eat are no longer displayed on the Today screen. I understand how helpful this data is for you and I'm sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused.

What I'd suggest is supporting this idea posted in the Product Feedback. That way our developers can keep tracking it over time and take it into consideration for future improvements.

@LizzyFitbit   I've seen several recent screenshots from Android users and their app shows the remaining calories.

Take a look at the Fitbit help site for further assistance and information.

@LizzyFitbit This isn't "an idea". It's a feature that worked prior to the "redesign" and works on Android phones.

This is a BUG in the iOS version. It's been known and reported since the redesign and has not been addressed. And now that the dashboard is being disabled, iOS users have nowhere to go to get this information. This makes the app useless for those of us who use it for weight management.

Just picked up an inspire 3 to get going again. I’m on the free trial for premium, but will absolutely not sign up for it without this feature. Ridiculous to have to use a separate app. Considering returning it.
