Event notifications repeat every time iPhone connects

My Fitbit 4 has started again, a few weeks ago, to vibrate for notifications (meeting reminders) *EVERY TIME* it reconnects to my iPhone.

If I roam in the house and lose and recover BT connection, I have a burst of vibrations with notifications of the *same* meeting reminders that I've seen now 100's of times. If I'm at the range limit, it happens randomly every few minutes (as I'm typing for example, it has already done that twice because my phone is another room). This happened a couple of years ago and was fixed by a FW release, but it's now back.

Candidly Fitbit team, it is extraordinary irritating to have that thing vibrating on my wrist for the same event again and again and again.
