When I started an exercise class this morning I thought I started my watch to track it, but when I checked after 10 minutes it hadn’t started so I started it then.
After the end of the exercise, I went into the exercise on the app and “Edit Exercise Details” and changed the start time to 10 minutes earlier.
However, regardless of exercise duration, it’s showing the same total calories burned (243) and average heart rate (129).
The graphs themselves on the exercise details update to show more/less data included in the actual graph, but the figures at the top (average HR, total cals) stay the same.
Also, for a split second when I edit the exercise details and amend the start/finish time, the calories and HR change to reflect the new/correct one, and then they revert back to 243 cals and 129 HR.
If through the phone dashboard I look at the daily calorie burn or HR, this data is all shown correctly; it’s just not reflected in the exercise details for the same time period.

Hi @Sophiecart, welcome to our Community Forums.
Thanks for sharing detailed information about your Fitbit app behavior. Our team is aware that some of our users are having issues with the Fitbit app not updating their exercise data. I understand how important is to see the correct information in your dashboard, I'm sorry that you're having this experience. While I don't have a time frame when this will be resolved, our team is currently working to identify a fix for this situation.

Sorry I am jumping on an old chain, but it seems this issue hasn’t been resolved? I am finding the same issue when trying to edit the exercise details

Hi there, @usagisisa and @Clairevic.
Thanks for joining this thread. Just to confirm, aside of your details not updating when editing an exercise, are you also having issues with the Exercise app crashing on your Fitbit device? If that's correct, what is the model of your Fitbit device? Also, since when did this start to happen?
On the other hand, if the issue is just the details not updating on the Fitbit app, let me recommend these other steps:

This is true for the app and on the online dashboard. Sometimes I will forget to stop the timer after starting an exercise. You can imagine, if I left it tracking for 30 min after I stopped exercising, my heart rate drops a lot, as does the average. When I edit the time, the average heart rate does not adjust. And neither do the calories burned. This is on the app and on the detailed view online. The dashboard seems to be different from the detailed view of the exercise, but I'm not sure if it is accurate or not, because the detailed view is the same as the app on my phone.

I am having this same issue, and I’ve read back to this being an issue since 2014. Every post with this issue gives users the exact same ideas to try, and it never works. How has fitbit not figured out a way to resolve this over nearly a decade? Please have them fix this in the next app update. It largely ruins the usefulness of the fitbit.
