Exercise details revert back to original after edit

Every time I try to edit the time of an exercise in the Fitbit app on my iPhone, it just goes back to what it was at. I can see the heart rate graph change for a second, then it goes back to the old time. My app is up to date and I’ve tried restarting my phone. It may have started after the latest update.

I’m curious about this too. I noticed it after the update on 8/20.

Yes.. This is for sure an obvious bug. Fitbit, Please fix.

First you stop us from changing the name of an activity (which last time we can), so all our auto-track activities are now just "Sport". Now, you are also preventing us from changing start and stop time?

I'm having the same problem

And another person experiencing the same problem.  Edits don't work, and when I deleted the exercise it took ages to do so, and on adding the exercise again fitbit app just randomly changed the start time! I inputted 15:08, clicked done, and the exercise was recorded as having taken place at 10:24, WTF?

Same problem for exercise data.

I forgot to stop my exercise on my Fitbit luxe so it showed 58 minutes instead of 30 minutes. When I go onto the app to adjust the time, it correct it for a second then reverts back to the original 58 minutes. I have the latest update. Please fix.

This issue is still not fixed with the latest iOS Fitbit App update today. This should be very simple, so I don't understand why is this taking so long to fix. To be able to edit an activity is a very basic function, and should be of top priority.

I also don't know what exactly is being fixed in the latest update. Every update just says "Bug fixes and performance improvements". Seriously, I don't see the obvious bugs being fixed, and I don't see any performance improvements either. Instead, I see new bugs and missing functionalities that we once had last time.

Can Fitbit provide a timeline for this fix, since at least you guys already recognise this is a valid bug?

I made this report under “iOS app accepts edits to exercise, then reverts data seconds later” in Feb 2024:

Sometimes I go on a fast walk, with a longer pace, so I travel a longer distance than my Charge 6 estimates.  I manually start and end the walk exercise. GPS is off. I go 1.64mi while the app estimates 1.42mi.  This is a known course; the charge 6/app estimate based on number of steps is incorrect.

After the walk, in the app on my phone, I can edit 1) start time 2) end time and 3) distance.

The app allows me to modify the distance, and I change it from 1.42 miles to 1.6 miles.  I tap "Done".  For about a second, it shows the updated stats for the walk, iuncluding the recalculated pace, shaving off ~2 mins/mile.

Then about a second later it reverts to the (incorrect) estimate provided by the app - both distance and pace.

What gives?  Accepting an edit and then going "whoops, nuh-uh!" is lame and frustrating.  Any known fixes for this behavior?

Adding that I have the same issue. Saving problem also applies to any manually logged activity. It briefly appears updates the relevant overall daily stats but the immediately disappears and stats revert.

It’s not fixed for me…

Me either. I can change the start and stop times, but it does nothing to the exercise duration.  Pretty worthless.

Are you still not able to update your calories, or exercise duration? I have tried the duration but it work when updating the calories

Having the same issue. It tracked my workout as only 17 minutes; It was a 55 minute workout. I can edit the time and it stays inputted as what I change it to 9:30am - 10:25am, and yet it still says duration: 17 minutes. Very frustrating. The UX/UI on this app needs a lot of work…
