Exercise missing map and details missing after sync.

Started a run from my Blaze this morning and during the run I got detailed info on distance, speed and average time. When ending the run at 6,7 km the Blaze showed the detailed screen with all km splits, elevation, hr, distance. Everything.

Then synced the run to my fitbit app and all the details disappeared. I still get distance, time, pace and HR, but no map, no splits, no elevation, no nothing.

Had this issue one time previously so I have restarted my Blace, my phone and made sure that everything is updated as it should.

It seems as if the issue happens in the sync between my phone and the Blaze.

Anyhone?

Markus

Hello @markusbjolgerud, it's nice to see you around, I hope you're having a great day! Smiley Happy

If the information is not showing correctly on the Fitbit app, please go to the exercise details page on the online Dashboard and check that your exercise shows correctly in there. If it does, it's possible the app is not updating correctly, which is why I would like to suggest the following:

  • Force-close the app by double tapping the home button and swiping up the app.
  • Log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else! Smiley Wink

Logged out, rebooted and went for a run.

At the same time as I stated the run from my Blaze I started a strava app run. After just a few km there was a difference on them length by 300+ meters. After 10 km the Blace reported 11km and strava had 10km. At the end of the run strava reported 20,5km while the Blaze reported 22,69km.
The summary on the watch showed km, lap times, elevation, puls and so forth.
After syncing to the phone a exercise reporting time, km, and pulse appeared. No map, no laps.
Some 10min later a new exercise reporting the same length as strava but with 15min additional total time.
Something is wrong somewhere.

As an experiment I tried a registering a run as a hike from the Blaze and changed it back to a run in the app after a successful sync. Everything worked. Is there so.erhing wrong with the Run exercis

Hello @markusbjolgerud, thanks for taking the time to reply! Smiley Happy

When you started your exercise, did the tracker connected to the GPS on your phone? If not, that explains why the map was not recorded.

Additionally, if the distance seems off, I would like to suggest to check your stride length. By default, trackers calculate your stride length using your height and gender. with the Fitbit Blaze runs using connected GPS will be taken in consideration as well to automatically update your running stride length. However, if your distance measurement seems inaccurate, follow the steps below to calculate your stride length and then add it to your Fitbit account.

To measure your walking stride length:

  1. Go to a track or some place where you're sure of the distance.
  2. Count your steps as you walk across that distance, making sure you travel at least 20 steps.
  3. Divide the total distance (in feet) taken by the number of steps to get your stride length.

Your running stride can be calculated the same way if you run instead of walk. Then, to add this stride length to your profile:

  1. Log into your fitbit.com dashboard and click the gear icon.
  2. Choose Settings > Personal Info.
  3. Under Advanced Settings, find Stride Length.
  4. Click Set on Your Own and adjust your stride length.
  5. Click Submit and sync your tracker.

Now, in regards of the other activities, do you have Strava linked to your Fitbit account? Did you manually logged and activity before?

Hope this can be helpful. I'll be waiting for your next reply!

Yes. The blaze said "Let's GO"

When connected to the phones GPS I guess that my stride length has nothing to do with the length of the excessive - and why does the Fitbit app create two different exercises with different time and length from the same run?
