FBBluetoothErrorDomain error 18 during setup

I'm receiving a FBBluetoothErrorDomain error 18 notification when trying to set up my brand new Charge 2. The device is not giving me the charging icon when plugged in either. I have tried setting up on my laptop and my iPhone4S - no luck with either.

I have looked at the previous pposts and can't seem to resolve my setup issues.

Is there a fix for these issues?

I’m also having the same error with my charge 2 that I bought today.  Hoping someone can help.  I have updated my Fitbit and Apple operating system and have the 7s.

Same error here when trying to update my Charge HR.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the App on my Iphone 7 but still with the same error message.

Now my FitBit won't sync because the FitBit itself is stuck in the middle of the update

I’m having exactly the same problem despite the fact I’m running the latest update of the app

Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community! Smiley Happy

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, we have received several reports of people coming across this error when trying to set up or update their trackers. At this moment I would like to suggest you the following steps:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Turn Bluetooth off on your phone from Settings (not through Control Center)
  3. Open the Fitbit app and if had issues setting up, start the set up process. When asked to turn Bluetooth on, please do and continue the process.
  4. If you're tracker is not updating, while it starts syncing it should tell you that there is an update. Select update now and this should end up downloading the new firmware update. Please note that the update might take up to 10 minutes.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.
