Despite being very popular the BMI measure is also flawed because it measures the excessiveness of weight rather than the excessiveness of body fat. For instance: A pro bodybuilder weighing 250 lbs and 5% body fat would be considered obese when in reality he's far from it. The Fat Free Mass Index is therefore a much more reliable tool for anyone trying to improve their body/health and fitbit already has the necessary metrics to calculate this with ease.
Other example: You can lose a pound of fat in a week, and gain a pound of muscle in the second week just to see your BMI stay exactly the same since it makes no distinction
