False notifications for completing daily steps

Hi,

I am not sure if anyone has gone across this issue, I keep getting alerts on my versa Fitbit watch to say I’ve done my daily target steps which is always great, however after a while I get another alert saying the same thing. When I recheck the steps on my app am still under it only just achieved the steps.
last week I went first a long walk and my watch was telling me I had done 5k more than my target, an hr later my watch tells me am only over by 2k 😒.

Whats going on?!?!?

Lastly I stopped using Coach for sleep music because I would get woken up by my phone talking to me. First time it completely freaked me out, after the 2nd time I refuse to use coach for sleeping meditation for the same reason.
Again what has Google done?

Same. This has been happening almost daily to me and also to my husband. It started in late February. My daily step goal is 14K. I get the notification of goal met anytime between 6K and 9.5K. Crazy.

There’s an entry for this on the Sense site that has 200+ responses for inaccurate step count.
I get the same thing. Swipe once and app/watch say 3k steps. Swipe again and it goes to 6k. Swipe again and it goes to 9k and I’m alerted to completing my step goal. Swipe again and it goes back to 6k which is correct.

Pretty pathetic that this has been going on for a few months without resolution.

I am glad to hear is not just me as annoying as it it. I am surprised Google has not picked up on it.
It is annoying and I hope they resolve this sooner rather than later.

Oh wow it sounds like you’ve been experiencing this issue for some time whilst for me is only recently.
I will Check to see what others are saying about it. I would be interested to see yet again if Google are doing anything. I hope they didn’t but Fitbit just for our data although it would t surprise me.
