Feedback about new dashboard

Hi Folks

It has been a month now since I reported the disastrous downgrade to the iOS dashboard.

I have run with it for a month and I can now say conclusively that since all the immediate data was removed, I have used the app less and less, I’ve met my steps goal far less frequently, and I have realised that the “old” dashboard experience was a fundamental part of why FitBit worked for me.

Now I don’t get the green lights, the celebrations, the clear display of which hours I’ve met step goals for, the at-glance-sleep data (not the offensive “sleep score” that gave my worst-ever 2 hour sleep “72” and my best-ever 8 hour sleep “78” - total junk) or the concise visual delight of the old dashboard... FitBit just doesn’t work for me.

So really this is my last call here - is there any news on getting our old dashboard back - because my Charge 2 is nearing the end of its life and I’m not going to stick with FitBit any more with this new shambles of an app.

Last call FitBit... are you going to give back what we had and used happily??

Otherwise for me this is goodbye FitBit 😞

Was my “goodbye FitBit” subject line too chastening, I can’t think why it’s been edited unless of course FitBit don’t want things like that in their forum.

Thought I’d check back to see if there was any news, sadly loads and loads more people pointing out how rubbish the updated app is, but no sign of it being fixed/reverted.

So sad that a product I once enjoyed has been so totally broken and that there is quite clearly no desire from FitBit to take this feedback on board.

The day it changed the old dashboard must have still been in the code, just the flick of a switch and we could have had what we had before back... but no, we are ignored and lumbered with this very poor app instead.

It is literally a massive step backwards. If the “old dashboard” was launched right now everyone would be joyous at the massive upgrade...

So no, this is not a post about feedback on the new dashboard, it’s about saying goodbye to FitBit. No “clarity” required.

@nujol

I concur with your experience that you used the app less and less with the way that the data was presented and formatted.  Coupled with problems of data accuracy, the changes to the dashboard and the focus on the new paid premium product caused me to abandon my Charge 3.  A family member is using it now.  Although I've moved on to another device, my family member would benefit from the ability to use the old dashboard.
