FitBit Alta not receiving call, message or calendar notifications, IOS 11.3

Has someone found a fix?  I've read & read & read thru forums to find a solution for my Alta not receiving any notifications???  Very frustrated, just purchased it for my daughter so she could receive notifications whilst her phone was in her bag......cannot get ANYTHING!!!!!

 

Ive tried:

resetting the fitbit from charger cable

resetting iphone

deleting & reinstalling app

turning on notifications settings in iphone settings & in fit bit app

forgetting bluetooth connection, reconnecting again

turning off all day sync, turning it on

 

.......nothing seems to work.  I used to have my own fitbit & never had a problem, thought i was buying a safe trouble-free product??????

 

Any help would be appreciated.  many thanks

finally its working!

 

My fix:

i went into iphone message settings, send & received & un-ticked my email address, leaving only my phone number ticked on

closed & locked my iphone - sent a test message from another phone, message notification came thru on my lock screen.

then went into fitbit app, turned off sms & calendar notifications only

called my locked iphone from another phone, suddenly the call alert came thru to fitbit

then went back into fitbit app & turned on the calendar & sms notifications as well, tested all worked!

 

For me i think the problem was my iphone, i wasn't always receiving notifications when my screen was locked, fixing this seemed to fix my fitbit notification as well.
