Fitbit not syncing with MyFitnessPal

Fitbit isn’t syncing with myFitnessPal for the past few days.  Is this happening to anyone else?

Today (3/9/25) on MFP: the stuff that is sync'd over from Fitbit are:

  • Sleep
  • An exercise I did yesterday

Things that did not sync from Fit to MFP are:

  • Steps
  • Calories (it never does this)
  • Weight (it never does this but it absolutely should)

This has been going on for days now, MFP calories are not syncing with Fitbit app. No matter how many times I try to sync the calories, it shows the same "604", every single day for the past month.

I've disconnected both apps (several times), rebooted my phone, rebooted my watch, deleted the apps and reinstalled, checked that all possible updates have been made. I have an iphone with iOS 18.3.2.

Does anyone have an updates? Everything was working fine until the latest iphone update.

OMG yes, I had to keep deleting MFP and re connecting FitBit. I was originally thinking it had to be MFP... but I see people are also reporting issues with syncing with other apps.

Agreed... I am happy it is not just me... So we need a firmware update? Or maybe MFP update?

I noticed my Fitbit not syncing food/meals eaten calories with MFP. So I went through all the steps - deleted both apps, signed out of both, signed into both, made sure all updates were made to my phone and both apps, turned blue tooth on and off. Nothing worked.

So I contacted customer service who had me go through all the same exact steps that I already went through, again. Still did not work. Customer service told me someone would email me from a higher level of technical support. Of course, no one emails me (yes, I checked spam).

So, I became desperate and deleted MFP completely and input my meals through Fitbits food tracker. Lo and behold, THAT doesn't work either! When I put 1200 calories of food, it tells me all of it is 3 calories and 3 grams of protein.

This is definitely a bug with Fitbit, not any third-party apps. There has been many complaints about the app not functioning correctly and nothing is being done. We are not getting what we paid for.

Same here.  I have this issue every 6 months or so I have to delete both apps, reinstall and resync and seems to eventually work but not this time.  When I've gone through all the steps Its not working this time and I get the message "to connect to your fitbit account  please allow myfitnesspal to access all fitbit data points " which i've never seen before.  I've seen a few reddit posts this morning saying ALOT of people are having this issue over the past couple of days.  Many have put in Support tickets and a few have spoken to customer service which has said it's a known issue and it's not just connecting to myfitnesspal its a variety of apps.  Very frustrating.
