Help! For the first time my fitbit app is not retaining the info I put in for my food intake. I select the foods, hit save, just like always and when I go to my dashboard it still says 0 calories eaten. Has this happened to anyone? I have tried several times. it wasn't saving my water intake either, but for whatever reason that just started working.

FitBit App - Not Saving Food/ Calories Log (Charge HR)
I am having the same problem with the FitBit app. I have been logging my food for the last three days and it won't let me amend items.
For example, I entered 300ml milk as 'breakfast' by mistake, I went back to change it to 180ml milk at 'dinner'. The adjustment shows immediately but when I re-open the app later all the changes I made have reverted back again.
Another example is I entered loads of food items under the wrong day by mistake. I deleted the items but when I revisit the app the items have re-appeared in the food log again.
Another example is when I was showing someone what my exciting new Christmas present does so I scanned the barcode of the Cheerios. I then deleted the entry (because I didn't actually eat any Cheerios) but it keeps re-appearing in my food log.
Basically - it won't let me make mistakes because it doesn't retain the amended information.

I too am having the same issue. Iphone6 with ios10. Jus in the last couple months will not save any food I put in. I does show the 'summary' calories by day in the food in/out screen, but all detail making up the calories has disappeared. Very frustrating.

Hello @mem330, @Karate_Kat and @davidlr2, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board the Community. It's nice to see you around @Rich_Laue, thank you for keeping the boards organized!
It seems the Fitbit app is not updating the information entered or removed from your food logs, which is why I would like to recommend logging our from the app, restarting your phone and logging back in. This should allow the information to refresh and update and you will be able to see your recent logs and be able to confirm the deletion of the ones you've removed.
I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply!

I have a similar issue. The food entered for today shows up as the value for all other days on the calorie gauge. It has only started happening in the last day or two.
charge 2, iPhone 6, both completely up to date. Tried logging out, rebooting the app, rebooting the phone etc. Seems to be an app problem - please advise if there is anything else i can try.

Also, the same seems to be happening with my water data..
looking online in my dashboard the data seems ok there. But I primarily use the app, so this is a big issue for my interaction with my Fitbit.
edit - my wife has just told me that her app is showing yesterday's food added to her total for today too!

I'm experiencing similar trouble and I logged out & back in, shut my phone down & back on and I'm still having the same trouble. Should I delete the app and reinstall?

I tried that and it didn't work, unfortunately.

Hello @Tomd1984 and @jhughes82, I hope you're having a great day, thanks for taking the time to reply!
It's possible that even after logging out and logging back in the information is still not updating. I do not recommend reinstalling the app; instead, please go to your online Dashboard to check if your food and water logs are getting recorded. If they are that means a bug is affecting the way the information is displayed on your app, please reply to me indicating if this is correct so I can check this further.
Let me know the outcome, I'll be waiting for your reply!

Hi @MarcoGFitbit,
Thanks for replying so quickly.
I've had a look at my online dashboard. It does show the food and water logs that i've added on previous days, so your suggestion that there is a bug affecting the way the information is displayed in the app seems to make sense.
I've just updated the app following the update released today. It still shows today's values for calories and water in whatever day i look at if i scroll back into the past, but does show the logs beneath them with the correct information for that day - it doesn't transfer over to show the gauge value changing from day to day, though.

Hello @Tomd1984 and @jhughes82, I hope you're having a great day!
@Tomd1984, what you're describing is the normal behavior of the app. When you swipe to check previous days's information, only the main tile (steps, floors, distance, calories burned and active minutes) will display that information. The other tiles will only show "Today"'s information. In order to check previous days, tap on each one.
@jhughes82, thank you for updating me and letting me know you're information is being displayed on the online Dashboard. To refresh the information in the app, please try to forceclose it by double-tapping on it, then swiping up the app. If that doesn't seem to work, logout from the app, restart your phone and log back in.
I hope this can be helpful, I'll be around in case you need anything else!

@MarcoGFitbit thanks, but I'm sure mine was showing different info for tiles for different days previously.
the same goes for my wife's charge 2, apparently. So something seems to have changed.

Thank you. I don't like this normal behavior of the app. I would prefer to see each day's stats on each day's page. It does me no good to see today's food intake with yesterday's calories, steps, miles, floors & minutes. I have voted such on a voting page, so I hope that soon the app will be changed. There seemed to be quite a bit posted that agrees with my position. Drilling down provides the stats, but it's an extra click and then you're in food only or water only - you don't have the visual of your whole day. Food or water by itself isn't as important as the relationship between food and water intake to calories burned, steps taken, etc. It's all related to each other.
Thanks,
James Hughes

I stand corrected, it does seem odd that each days data isn't on each days page. Would definitely make a good upgrade and, I guess, simple too.
