FitBit app will not save calories in info after I add in the food.

Help! For the first time my fitbit app is not retaining the info I put in for my food intake. I select the foods, hit save, just like always and when I go to my dashboard it still says 0 calories eaten. Has this happened to anyone? I have tried several times. it wasn't saving my water intake either, but for whatever reason that just started working.

I have the same issue. And your advice did not work. These products are expensive and I'm extremely disappointed that the app isn't working properly.

I agree with the other commenters in that I would really like to be able to see each day's info on each day's page.  One of my goals is weight loss and it's not very helpful if I can't easily access my calorie intake for each day in comparison with my calorie expenditure.  The app is much more convenient for me than using a computer, so logging in that way would not be a solution.  In addition, I would think that if the option for that info is displayed on the page when you scroll back (which it is:) it should be an easy enough fix for someone to put in.  If it were addressed the app would be fantastic.  Right now it's a bit of a let down when you scroll back and try to see your history and gauge your past days.

Hello @jhughes82@Tomd1984 and @TDRosey, it's great to see you around. Have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community @Cheraldo, it's nice to have you on board!

@Cheraldo, is the Fitbit app not showing the information of the food you're logging? If so, have you checked your online Dashboard to verify that the information is displayed there? If that's the case, would it be possible for you to send me a screenshot of the app and the online Dashboard so I can check this further?

@jhughes82@Tomd1984 and @TDRosey, I completely understand that you'd like to see the information of previous's days in the app when you swipe it, which is why I've found a suggested idea by @BobTheCat to implement this feature in a future update. Feel free to add your vote and comment, this is truly the best way to make your voice heard.

If there's anything else I can do for you, please keep me posted. Smiley Wink

My Fitbit calories was working fine until the recent update, now it does log food and does not save it.

if I go into the dashboard through the website it does but not on the App. I’m an IOS user.

I’ve had the same problem the last couple of days and I have tried everything that was said on here..

right now I’ve recorded about 400 calories and I’ve been trying to add other things and it’ll just stay at 400. I use my Fitbit every day and really would appreciate a solution to this.

I am also having the same problem.. seems to be the latest update... just when I started fully using the app, kinda disappointing...

I second everyone else who’s commented in the last 6 hours. You gave us a bug with the last update and the problem is clearly on your end. We paid a great deal of money for these products. Fix this, and if one more person says, “have you tried turning it off and on again?” I’m going to scream.

I am just having the same issue. Food is not getting recorded neither on the dashboard nor elsewhere Logging out and restarting the phone did not help- any ideas?

I’m having the same problem, I type in all the information-hit save-go back to my dashboard and it hasn’t saved the food entry or calories. I too have tried all the above mentioned fixes to no avail. First time I have experienced this issue after using the ap for over a year and a half. Hope this is fixed soon as possible since this is the most efficient way for me to track calories in/calories out!

The same is happening to me. I add an item and it immediately goes away and doesn’t show. I don’t even have a computer. I need this to work on my dashboard app. This is my very day of using it. If I can’t log food I will need to send it back because what’s the point?

I tried  both logging out and restarting my phone and my calorie/food intake still won’t record anything , goes back to zero, very frustrating

I closed the app, restarted my phone, even deleted and reinstalled the app and it still doesn’t work. Very frustrating.

I agree with everyone, that since the update, the food just isn’t saving and it’s so frustrating! No one is answering any comments made and I’ve even tweeted Fitbit support but again nothing!! 😡

The information doesn’t record correctly.  The suggestions from the FitBit tech has been completely unhelpful.  I’m now manually (on paper) tracking calorie intake.

I'm having the same issue since yesterday.  I've done everything I can think of including deleting the app and reinstalling and still anything new I enter is reverting to 0 calories
