Fitbit Alta shows incorrect time and won't wake up with tap

Can not wake up alta with tap, and when plug in the battery is fine, but the time is now incorrect. I just just got this alta (new not refurbished) and I need to know what is happening and how to fix.... please

I am sorry to hear your Fitbit Alta won't respond to tap and is showing the incorrect time. Thanks for trying to resolve this, I appreciate the additional details and I am here to help. I recommend doing the following:

 

1. Restart the tracker: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

2. If you haven't set up the tracker to your Fitbit account, please follow these steps in order for it to sync and show the correct time: How do I set up my Fitbit device?

3. If your tracker is paired to your Fitbit account already, please follow the troubleshooting steps from this help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

 

If your Fitbit Alta is still showing the incorrect time after syncing, please follow the additional troubleshooting steps at How do I change the time on my Fitbit device?

Libby - darn It us still not working .... I did re set my fitbit Alta but is still won’t wake up with out my plugging it in the electrical... I have a second Alta with hR that stopped working and now it seems to be back - do I need to delete that from my app?
