Fitbit App shows an alert or notification

Fitbit phone app says I have an alert; however, I have no messages or notifications. how can I clear out that alert so the phone app doesn't identify an open message/notification?

Thank you for the detailed information. At this time, I think you're referring to a similar topic reported in this thread, therefore, I'd recommend following the instructions there to see if that helps to resolve the inconvenience.
