Ever since I updated my app (version 4.65) on my new (iPhone 16) phone I haven’t been able to receive notifications. All software is up to date, notifications are shared, Bluetooth allows them to be shared etc. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I’ve tried rebooting the Fitbit. None of it has helped. The screen for app Notifications has just stayed completely blank.

I’ve found a fix!! If you have an iPhone, go to Settings and search “Preferred Language”. Ensure your preferred language is “English (US)”. Once this was selected, fitbit notifications now come through again. My language selected was previously English (Australian) and i’ve seen on Reddit threads that English (UK) also doesn’t work.

So does this mean you are aware of an issue where only some iPhone Apps will show up in the notifications list and some Apps won't until this is fixed? I am getting txt message notifications on my new Versa 4 and calls and the Apps list populated with some apps but not the ones I really want. Will we possibly see a new Fitbit App update in the Apple Store to fix this then?

Same issue here - was sent a replacement sense 2 as mine stopped working. Texts, calls and calendar notifications come through but nothing else. When I go to the app notifications screen it is just blank. Didn’t have this problem previously.

@MarreFitbit My issue is not the same as @rmg889. I have some Apps that have populated into the Apps list but not the ones I want. My Preferred Language was already set to English (US). I have some Apps that came through on the list like Facebook Messenger and Snapchat, but others have not like Discover Card, Chase Bank, Signal Messenger apps. It's like stuck in a list of only a few Apps that have populated.

Amazingly, that seemed to work. I really hope they fix it properly though because I would love to switch back to English UK.

Where do i change the language? In my phone or in the fitbit app?

Hi @Msophite, you change the language on your phone settings (iPhone is Settings —> General —> Language & Region —> Region). Good luck!

How is this mark as answered? This problem is still not fully fixed! 1. changing language to "english (us)" is not really a valid long-time option for many international users. 2. The recent fitbit-update supposedly should have fixed the issue, yet problems clearly persist. I now tried several reconnections of my charge 6 to the fitbit app and apps do show up in the list after sending a notification. But not all of them, some do, some don't. Since I tried this several times I can confirm that it seems completely random which apps will show up and which won't.

Same for me. I changed the language, restarted all devices and messenger notification is still missing. Plus Norwegian apps disappeared. I had to go back to Norwegian language, but only a few apps have appeared. Missing important ones (postnord, Norwegianbank, bankSør etc)

Hi Marre,
So what’s the update on this incredibly annoying issue please? I just bought an Inspire 3 on Wednesday 30 April 2026 and notifications from my iPhone 13 just do not work. It’s very frustrating, I’m having to wear 2 different trackers as otherwise I miss calls. When will this issue be resolved? Switching to US Region is just not an option that will work for me.
kind regards. Kirsty

Hi @MrsQsilver911,
Whilst the notifications will not work if your phone is set to English (UK), calls and messages should still be coming through if your phone has been correctly setup with your new watch.
You only need to set your phone to English (US) temporarily, wait for notifications from other apps you would like to receive notifications on your watch for and enable these in the Fitbit app. Once you have done this, you can set your phone back to English (UK) and your watch will continue to receive notifications you enabled when you temporarily set your phone to English (US). Let us know how you get on, good luck!
