Hi all,

i’m actually using a fitbit charge hr (version 18.12.2) and it is connected to my iphone 6s (ios 11.0.3). After updating ios to 11.x.x i’ve experienced several issues with bluetooth. Basically, when I establish a connection between iphone and charge HR, after few minutes the connection is dropped and my iPhone Bluetooth is switched down for 3 seconds. Does anybody have the same issue? I’ve done several tests and the issue never happens when the connection between Fitbit and iPhone is not establish.

Bye

Hello @Thenoisemaker86, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply. Smiley Happy

Please note that if you remove the tracker from the Bluetooth devices on your phone, that will not prevent the tracker from syncing and if you don't need All-day Sync, I would like to suggest it to disable it in case the tracker's signal is interfering with the Bluetooth signal of your other devices, just remember to open the app in order for your tracker to sync.

We have not received reports of this issue happening after the OS update, nonetheless I'll forward the information you have provided and I'll make sure to update the thread accordingly once I have anything else to share with you.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, if there's anything else I can help you with, please feel free to reply.

Hello @Thenoisemaker86, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. At this moment, Fitbit trackers do not interfere with the Bluetooth settings on your phone and do not have the ability to turn it on or off, they're just devices that connect. However, please note that they connect through the Fitbit app and not the Bluetooth on your phone through Settings. Additionally, when you tracker appears on the list of Bluetooth devices as "Connected" is because All-day Sync or Notifications have been enabled through the Fitbit app.

I hope this resolves your inquiry, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Ciao Marco,

Thanks for Reply. Basically, the problem arise when I use All-Day Sync (after updating the OS of my iphone to 11 version). If I disable this option there are no problems (eventhough, if i have to be honest, this option doesn't care me it is enabled because i don't need it... 🙂 )

The point is that when i use the all-day sync, my chargeHR appears into the bluetooth list of my phone and is flaged as connected. If i use other devices while the chargeHR is connected, it seems that it conflicts with them. For example, if i'm broadcasting music to my bluetooth speaker, the connection is dropped after about 20 minutes and re-established in 2/3 seconds.

I hope I've explained clear enoght the problem. All these problems have never happened before when my ios version was 10 (or lower). I've conctacted also Apple to report this problem and they don't find any problems on phone side.

I've Seen that is available a new firmware version for my chargeHR that maybe will solve the problem but actually I can not update it because the app says there is no update available...

Sorry for the long poem 🙂 but if the problem is not just on my side, You could check more deeply to solve it.

Have a nice Day
