Fitbit: Make it possible to set Custom Max Heart Rate in app

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Dear Fitbit,

When are you going to fix this annoying problem where it is not possible to set a Custom Max Heart Rate in the (iOS) app? This problem has now persisted for a VERY long time! And please do not ask us to go to the Dashboard and change it because it is still resets to 0 later. And also do not ask for which version of the app we are running since you have been given tons of examples of this in other posts. So cone on, get this issue fixed since it causes the zone minutes to be completely wrong. This is such a basic thing in Monitoring activity that you NEED to fix it...

@LiliyaFitbit -

And tell your developers that even changing the stride length in the app causes the Max HR value to be reset to the Default.

I have documented the steps to verify my statement in this post .

I will not be searching for other causes for the resetting of the Max HR. I've done enough in the other threads that discuss this issue and I have no desire to pretend I'm not retired.

@MrMarv -

I agree completely - Fitbit should not ask any other customer what the problem is and what platform they are on etc. This issue has been discussed over and over again in this forum. When I was in direct contact with Fitbit support, they asked me (just like everybody else) to go to the dashboard and change the Custom Max Heart Rate. I said that I had already done that earlier, and that it works for a short time but then resets back to the default value - and that is the same for many other users. But support insisted, that I tried this. Helloooo - what is not getting through to Fitbit??? Yeah, the dashboard is a work around for a short period of time (mine was reset wihin 2-3- days), but honestly why would Fitbit support keep asking people to do this when they (ought to) know that is is not a long term solution. That is just SO unprofessional...!

@LiliyaFitbit - I do not know how you are organized at Fitbit, but I think that the developers - not the support - should be involved. But perhaps the support team is the same as the developer team. Because it is clearly some kind of technical problem in your software products - and you really need to get this fixed. You promote "Active Zone Minutes" heavily but the results that we as customers get in this regard, are completely off, when the Max Heart Rate is not and cannot be set correctly.
