Fitbit One not syncing to iphone - sometimes

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My fit bit sometimes syncs to my iPhone - I cannot determine when it works though. Sometimes it works when I am away from wifi, sometimes when I am in my office or home. I've seen it show up in my Bluetooth and it works then, but not consistently.  Even stranger, it always syncs to my ipad, and then that syncs to the phone. Any clues?

Hello @mribando, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Have you restarted your tracker lately? Do you have any other Bluetooth devices around when your tracker is syncing (such as Bluetooth headphones, speakers, other mobile devices)? If so, that might be the reason your tracker is having difficulties syncing. Sometimes, Bluetooth signals from other devices might interfere with the syncing process.

In this case I would like to suggest you to check @HelenaFitbit's excellent tips and recommendations that have been very helpful for many members in the Community. However, if your tracker is still having difficulties syncing, my best recommendation would be setting it up as a new device in order to reset the connection between your tracker and your phone.

To set up your tracker as a new device:

  1. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  2. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  3. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else. Smiley Wink

Thank you so much for your reply. I did finally get it working - restarted, and reinstalled to my phone. I'm not quite sure it's solved however. The first 10 or so times I tried to reconnect it would not find the fitbit. After I left it for a while it found it. It works consistently with my ipad - I guess it could be the other Bluetooth devices which are disappointing, since I am always using some sort of bluetooth device.

thanks again for your help.
