Hi @Fedupwithversa3 - first try holding the button for 10 seconds till it vibrates and the logo appears and wait for it to start.
If that doesn't fix your watch not entering Exercise or Settings you may need a factory reset.
Make sure to sync first, and if you can't factory reset contact customer support via the Fitbit App Help & support section.

@Fedupwithversa3 - this seems to be a Fitbit App issue, nothing much you can do, other than logout of the Fitbit App and swipe off the active window, then login and sync.

I have found four ways to refresh the home screen without getting out of Fitbit. The first and usually least effective is the synchronized now button on the home screen, I do this three, four or more times, but usually with very little effect. The second which is slightly better is the pull to refresh, and this also is most effective when done three, four or more times. The most convenient and usually successful is to click on the previous day button twice and then click on the today button and this need only BD done once. The best is probably to click on device/app then click on the tractor you were using , and then scroll down to synchronize now. For best results again, you will need to do this three, four or more times, and it will be effective almost 100% of the time. I am a blind user using an iPhone SE third generation running 17.1.1 using Fitbit version 4.04 and currently I have a charge five. I have dictated this on my iPhone and hope that you will be able to understand my ramblings. Screen refreshing has been a long time problem with Fitbit on the iOS and has been reported over multiple years. Version four. 04 appears to have made it worse , probably due to insufficient beta testing of the 4.0 versions prior to releasing to Fitbit users.
