Just got back from a 30 minute walk and looked at my stats on the app. It shows duration as 30 minutes, no seconds displayed. That put my pace at just over 13 min/mile which is a little faster than normal. I logged into Fitbit on my computer and it shows the exact time of 30:54 so apparently now the app just shows the minutes and drops the seconds. It doesn't even round to the closest minute. I wonder what genius thought this was an improvement?

Not sure what "workout graph" refers to since this tread seems to be about accurate timing of exercise but I find that the exercise details provided now are close to useless. I do a lot of elliptical exercise and the detailed graph of heart rate during the exercise period is the only thing I have looked at in the exercise detail and now it has been removed. Also the heart rate tile is at the top of my display and it now show today's range of heart rates but not the current heart rate.

Workou graph and detailed heart rate graph are one and the same

From the main app screen, go to Exercise Days and then the activity. It should show the heart rate graph. If it doesn’t, hit the back button and immediately go into it again.
V4,04 is crap and apparently doesn’t reliably talk to the Fitbit dashboard/servers. You have to do things 2 and 3 times to get it to work. That’s just poor programming.

I’ve tried more than 3-4 times and nada
doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is some folks definition of insanity
so I'm insane for thinking this will get resolved

I have found that the website reflects the app data very reliably and quickly. Once I have synced the Fitbit to the (iPhone) app, as soon as I logged onto the website, the data is there. It's still annoying to not have the exact duration (min and sec) displayed in the app though.

Duration as only whole minutes is really annoying. Please fix it.

Agreed. It's incredibly frustrating that my versa 2 displays exact time/pace, the web dashboard displays exact time/pace, but the in-app workout summary rounds down to the nearest minute making it look faster than what I actually did. The app is effectively useless for joggers who are closely monitoring their pace.

I found another post that showed the steps to see the data in the old view where you can see seconds.
CON: you have to do these steps every time you want to see seconds. It’s dumb. Backwards step in features.

I agree - I pointed out that the x axis showing clock time instead of duration in minutes was basically useless, and got a replay saying tough, not going to change unless lots complain. Glad I cancelled my premium trial! The new app is not fit for purpose.

Awesome!
I track my training paces in a separate spreadsheet out side of Fitbit, and even this convoluted method is more convenient than having to login to the website dashboard to get accurate data lol. Thanks for the tip!

I track in a spreadsheet too! I agree, I don’t want to have to go to computer to collect the data.

Totally agree. Any fitness person would know this. Does the management team reviewing App updates not include a single person that knows anything about fitness and running?

I actually like the new display for the workout. Just put the seconds back in it.

I’m not a fan of the app update. My run times are rounded to the nearest minute (unacceptable) and today’s 10k run of time 48:46 has the app showing an average pace of 5:02. Kinda impossible. I sure hope Firbit can make some improvements or I will be forced to use a competitor. Sad, as I’ve been a fan of Fitbit for years. But this update sucks. And no “max heart rate” data

Eagerly awaiting an update! Rounded running times are useless - disappointed it’s still not displaying exact times in the app. There is a meaningful difference between completing a run in say 30:24 vs 30:45.

They used to include fitness people. It was of, by and for fitness types who understood these things from experience. They knew right away what we were talking about, no explanation needed.

Hi @Weemanger12 - unfortunately the new V4 Fitbit App loses features and functionality found in the previous more reliable version which officially is no longer available.

I haven't been running for awhile due to an injury so not tracking exercise. Started back running and am furious that it is rounding up the minutes! Obviously designed by someone who does not run and understand how those seconds are important! Had a fitbit for years and used to enjoy scrolling back through my running routes. Cant seem to do that either.

I never post anything but this is highly disappointing!!! I’ve been a Fitbit user since 2017 and if this doesn’t get fixed I most definitely will be switching products. Please please please fix this!
