My app is quitting frequently after I log new items of food, new food items also disappear from my log after I've added them. I have the latest version for the app. Has anyone else found this?

Hello @LouJaye I've moved your question to the iOS thread, since it is unrelated to your tracker model, and I see you posted from an Apple phone.

I am having the same problem with food disappearing right after entry. It has happened several times in the last couple of days.

I am having the same issue. I will add a food item and it will briefly show and then dissapear. The internet dashboard updates but the item is not displayed in iOS. The only way to get it to show up in iOS is to completely close down the app (on the multitask list) and restart. Sometimes the app simply crashes. Come FitBit, let's get it together.

I am also having this issue and have been since the last update of the iOS app.  Food will not show when first added, the app sometimes crashes when food is added and sometimes after restarting the app, the food is showing listed twice.

I have tried logging out of the app and restarting my phone before logging back in, I have also gone as far as logging out, deleting the app completely, restarting my phone and then re-downloading the app.  None of these actions have resolved the issue.

It's getting very frustrating that this is happening everytime something is added.  I have sent all crash reports through so hopefully someone in the application support team has a view of what is happening.

Same as above. Especially Kat's comments. Come on FitBit, something is clearly not working correctly, since your last update! It is making food logging such a laborious task. Please fix it soon!!!

Exactly the same issues as above. Meanwhile I'm working around the issues with entering food by using the quick calories function instead, but the calories still aren't added up correctly in the dashboard. I figure it's a problem either with their database or how data is retrieved, since users seem to have issues regardless of operative system (I'm using an android phone and a windows laptop, for example). Really hope it's fixed soon!

same here!  is there any update, is this issue being reviewed?

Same, same and same again. I am waiting for Fitbit to fix this. I have been using the app daily for several years and never experienced any problems until this latest update.

Likewise. They really screwed this one up. They say they are working on it but obviously not a big priority to them.

This is not solved. Please see the new posts on this thread. We are all awaiting a solution. Please Fitbit, solve this issue....

I have the same issue... Has it been solved yet???
Best Answer
No, it's not been solved yet. I think Fitbit may see this as a closed thread as its marked solved at the top. But, all they have done is move the problem to another thread, which I can't find. So not very helpful. And I'm getting really tired of having to input food calories again & again, & shutting the app & restarting to see if the food is then there. It's so tedious.

I have tried adding the issue as a new thread, entitled 'Disappearing Food in Calories Eaten' Maybe everyone on this thread, could copy their comments over to that thread, as it remains unsolved. That way maybe Fitbit, will actually pick up on the problem. You should be able to find this thread by looking at my other activity. Or this link may or may not work: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Fitbit-com-Dashboard/Disappearing-Food-in-Calories-Eaten/m-p/1300369

@Cozza since this issue here is about the iOS app, and everyone agreeing, by paying in the Fitbit.com forum your saying that this is also a problem with adding food through the web page. If this is the case then the problem probably is not aspirated with any app, but will affect all users. Since it most likely is a database issue with the online data @Fitbit.

I only make entries into my 'Calories Eaten' log, by using my iPhone. So I don't know about any other platforms. I've been using the Fifbit App on my iPhone for over a year. This glitch in food appearing in the log, then immediately disappearing, close app, then open app & it may then appear. Or you have to do the whole entry again, has been an issue since around the beginning of April 2016. I have never encountered the problem before. So in my opinion there seems to be a problem within the Fitbit App on iPhones. I don't know how to resolve this. If you have a suggestion of who else to raise this issue with, apart from this forum, please let me know. Thank you.
