Fitbit app is crashing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a problem since this morning and after updating my IOS ( I have an iPhone X): I can not open the Fitbit App.

As soon as I open it, it closes!
I tried restarting my phone, installing and reinstalling the app, but nothing works!
Thank you!

I’m experiencing the same issue. I made sure that the app was up to date and trying deleting it, resetting my phone and reinstalling it. On reinstalling the app opens to the point where I can log in but then closes. My Alta is linked to my phone but as I can’t sync via the app, the time and the date is wrong

Welcome to the Community Forums @Amezghan and @CTaylor96! Thank you for reporting the app crashes on the beta iOS app.

Please stay up to date with both iOS beta releases and Fitbit app releases. Note that there is always a risk of unexpected app behavior when using a beta OS. We are working to ensure the Fitbit app is fully compatible with iOS 13.

In this case, we recommend switching to the latest iOS OS version (not the beta OS) for a more reliable experience with the Fitbit app.

I've moved your post to the iOS App as there are more chances to get related replies here.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hello and welcome @Bearcat97 and @Norway_one

I understand you’re both experiencing issues when trying to log into your Fitbit App. Make sure that your iOS device is updated to the latest version and your Fitbit App is also updated to the latest version.

Let’s try first force shutting the app by swiping the Fitbit App upward

now shut down your iOS device completely, wait 1-2 mins then restart your iOS device again

now try to log back into your Fitbit App

If that doesn’t work let’s try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit App.

Here’s how:

1. Force shut the Fitbit App if it’s on your screen by swiping it upward

2. uninstall the Fitbit App from your device

3. now completely shut down your device and wait about 1 min then restart your device

4. once your device has reloaded reinstall the Fitbit app by downloading it from the App Store

5. once it’s installed, log into your device as you normally would with username and password

6. don’t touch anything in the app...just wait until you get a prompt from your Bluetooth.

7. When prompted by your Bluetooth tap yes

8. now sync

😃 Hopefully this resolves your issue. Keep me posted
