Fitbit app keeps crashing

The Fitbit app keeps crashing.  Please help!  Customer support could not find a fix.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled, the app still crashes after the login process.  I have uninstalled, rebooted my phone and reinstalled… same thing.  I have uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled and rebooted again… same thing.  No matter what I have tried I can open the app after installing it and sign in then it crashes and then every time I try to open it again it crashes as soon as it starts to open.  I had looked into making sure that my iOS and Fitbit app were updated and all permissions in my settings were where they needed to be but went through all of that a second time with customer support.  They just kept saying they had no reports of this being a problem, so just keep trying.  I paid way too much for a device for it not to work properly, and as far as I can tell I can’t get the most of the smartwatch if it can’t sync with the app.  I was already disappointed in the Versa3 because unless I continuously sync with the app it doesn’t work as the Versa2 that I used constantly for about 2 years but now I’m frustrated, too.  Is there anything else I can try?!
I feel I should mention that the Fitbit app is the only one I’m having an issue with, as far as I have noticed.

@SunsetRunner, you are my hero!

I had tried restarting the Fitbit, I have to reset it several times a day to clear notifications.  I had already looked into the date&time settings.  Through everything I was trying I could always open the app to log in but THEN it would crash, and continue to crash every time I attempted to launch the app.  Weird.  I had NOT tried disconnecting the Fitbit from Bluetooth before restarting my phone, but that didn’t work either.  What I had not tried yet that you gave me the idea to do (by suggesting the Bluetooth trouble shoot) was to “forget” the Fitbit device in my phone altogether.  Took a minute to get the combo right but what ended up working was: forget device, delete app, restart phone, download app, sign in, and pair device and sync!  Thank you so much!!!

Hello @Mal2485

I’ve noticed a growing number of people experiencing Fitbit App crashes lately. I’m not sure what’s that all about. Let’s try something I’ve seen work for some. No promises as I’ve seen you have already done countless other very good troubleshooting tips that didn’t work. (Before we try anything have you tried restarting your Versa 3? If not please try that. Just press down and hold the button on the Versa 3 until you see the Fitbit Logo then release the button. Now try logging into your Fitbit Account) if restarting doesn’t help the first thing I’ve seen help “some” is this: Try going to your phone Settings > General > Date & Time and make sure Set Automatically is enabled. Then, force-close the Fitbit app by double tapping the home button on your phone and swiping up the app. After that, try to log in
If the problem persist try this: I’m assuming your logged out of the Fitbit App as your not able to get it to load. So just swipe the app upward to force shut it if your trying to log into it. Now go to your Bluetooth and disconnect your Versa 3 from your Bluetooth but leave your Bluetooth on. Uninstall Fitbit App, Now restart your phone, reinstall Fitbit App and try to log on again. Hopefully this time you will be able to log in. If so swipe down on the Fitbit App to attempt to sync your Versa 3. You should get a pairing request. Accept the pairing request to reconnect your Versa 3 to your phones Bluetooth.
🤞I’m hoping this is successful and gives you a resolution to the Fitbit App crash issue. Please let me know how it goes.
