Fitbit app no longer syncing when I manually enter Orange Theory workout

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
For the last week, when I try to log my Orange Theory workout the app seems to accept the input but then says "not synced" and to "try again" but despite trying repeatedly, restarting the Charge HR, turning off the app and restarting, etc. nothing works. It synced fine for almost a year before this past week. As a result, the app now only records the 20-30 minutes on the treadmill because the Charge HR tracks the steps but I get no "credit" for the work in the weight room. Before, I could enter the OT workout and it would adjust automatically. What happened? Did the latest app update change how things work? Is there anyway to enter activities manually like we could before (even while wearing the Charge HR to track heartrate) since the Charge HR itself underestimates active minutes when you are doing something like weights or rowing? Thanks.

@KSR44

I've moved your thread over to the iOS App section of the Help Forums, where it's more likely to lead to a resolution.

Hope this helps!

Hello there @KSR44 welcome to our Community. Its been a while since your posted here and @SebringDon kindly helps us to locate your concern in the correct board. I bet by now the issue has been sorted out, but I wonder how you were logging this activity?

Active minutes will depend of the exercise you are doing, since for weight lifting is only your heart rate that determine your effort as there are no other movement like when you walk. There are a few ways to enter manual exercise through the web-Dashboard or the mobile app. One of the most easy methods I can think is pressing and holding the side bottom of your CHarge HR until it shows a stopwatch. This mean your tracker is in exercise mode and will sync your exercise as a Workout than later can be labeled to any different exercise.

In the recent updates the app has just received slightly modification on visual but the functionality remains. In cases where the app is giving you issues the best recommendation is to review if you are running the latest version and then force quit the app. This last step will depend of the type of device and the OS. so the easy way is to Log out from the app and restart the mobile device. Once it has loaded, sign back in and the app should work fine.

Keep me posted how it goes so far. I just want to give follow up with you to make sure everything is working fine.
