Three iPhones in the house, all with this same issue of crashing immediately upon opening the app. No official word from Fitbit that I could find, but there was this other reference on the web to the issue, dated today (02 Mar 2023): https://piunikaweb.com/2023/03/02/fitbit-app-crashing-on-ios-devices-issue-acknowledged-fix-in-the-w...

I'm running it on an iPhone XR and I have the 3.76 version of the app. Just updated to this version about a week ago. No problem until today.

At least I could get my Device reconnected on Bluetooth again doing this enough to sync it before it went back to crashing again so thank you

While I was on the phone with Fitbit customer care, the app started working again for me. I am in the United States. As usual, they told me that in order to get it working, I would have to delete the app reinstall turn off the phone all of the rigmarole that they always tell us. I don’t know how long this will last the fact that Fitbit has come back for me. They did say that it was an unscheduled outage, and that it affected only iOS users.

I just brought Versa 3 today & I can't set it up as Fitbit is having a meltdown.
Not a great start to buying a Fitbit 🤬

I see on a webpage that it is due to the newest rollout by fitbit that is causing the problem. Their tech support are currently aware of the problem and working to resolve it.

Same for me. It wasn’t working this morning before the lastest iOS update, so I did the update and it still isn’t working.

Me too - I’m guessing it’s a Fitbit problem given there’s quite a few of us with the same problem.

Reinstalled Fitbit, restarted Fitbit, restarted iPhone and it still crashes immediately. Tried on-line chat with Fitbit and there apparently was no one home since there was no response to my input. “Houston, we have a problem.”

Mine started doing that this morning. I’ve used the Fitbit app for years, and this has never happened before. I tried the same things as you: offloading and reloading the app, rebooting the phone, fully deleting and reinstalling the app, etc. Nothing works! Very frustrating. I was going to do a phone reset and reinstall but now that I see others are having the same issue I’m going to wait a while.

I haven't made the update yet and as of this morning app is crashing constantly. Don't know if this would have worked before restarting phone/deleting/reinstalling app, but now I just start it 3-5 times and it stays up (for a while). When I go back to it from some other function it crashes again and the cycle repeats.

I have had a Versa 2 since 2020. I can say this is the first major problem I’ve had. I also pay for premium & really like it. Hang in there!

Thank you for posting!!
I slept horribly last night woke up to see how bad it really was and my app crashed immediately upon opening. I force quit the app. Restarted my phone and the same behavior. I uninstall the app reboot on my phone and same behavior when I tried forgetting the device etc. etc. you get gist. I too have an iPhone 14 my confusion is there was no iOS update last night. Did Fitbit update some thing?

Agreed
If you turn the iPhone to Flight Mode (I.e. cut off internet access) you can get the App to load and sync with your device. That suggests the error is probably server side at FitBit.
I found this article online Fitbit app crashing issue on iOS devices acknowledged, fix in the works (piunikaweb.com) . Seems fitbit has yet again done sort of failed App or tracker update and sent our devices into choas. Seems to be a regular occurance for Fit and Googles aquistion of them has just made things worse. This is likely to be the cause "iOS app version 3.76 is now available - 02/28/2023" (you will have to search to get here as fitbit won't allow the link to be posted)

Constant crashing on open...when I get a log in page I enter my info and I get a screen for a verification code....WHICH NEVER ARRIVES. Please fix as it's impossible to contact FitBit chat support without logging in!!!
