All of the sudden when I try to log past exercise (like the bootcamp class I just did two hours ago) it tells me there is not enough data available to show my heart rate zones, calories burned, or impact on the day. This just started happening this week and the only ones it is tracking correctly are the auto recognized exercises or the ones I log in real time on the watch. I can clearly see in the heart rate section of the dashboard that the heart rate was tracked all day so I’m not sure why there is a glitch. I have already restarted the watch, logged out of the app, deleted the app, reinstalled, and logged back in with no change. Anyone have a fix for this?

I’ve had the inspire 2 for one day. I downloaded everything and the most recent versions. 3.20.1. I have an iPhone 8 software 13.4.1
My first run didn’t record my hr and said not enough data. I manually started my run and consistently check my watch during the run to see my HR. So I know it was working and picking up my HR.
After I ended my run I did a HIIT sessions which the Fitbit automatically picked up and recorded my HR.
I bought this specifically to pick up my HR for my runs. Please help. What is wrong? Should I not start my run manually?

Is there an update from Fitbit when this will be fixed. Today I removed the app then re- installed as suggested. Went out for a 45 minute walk and the application shows ‘insufficient heart rate data’. There is either a bug in the app or the software within the the Alta HR. This seems to be have been an ongoing issue for months; so why is there no proposed working solution. I would ask whether Fitbit support have attempted to replicate the issue as the solutions being offered all seem very generic; when it is impossible there is a bug that requires a software update.

As per your suggestion, I provided iOS, Fitbit model, a few days ago, yet, no response.
Please let me know if there is a solution.

Hello everyone, thanks for your participation in the Community and providing feedback regarding the heart rate data during exercise.
Thank you for providing the additional details, I understand that this can be very frustrating and appreciate your troubleshooting efforts. Our team has recently released a new version of the Fitbit app. Please make sure you have downloaded the new version by following these instructions. Please also verify if your phones are up-to-date: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. I also recommend trying the following steps:
If the issue persists, please confirm your iOS version for us to investigate further.
Please keep me posted, I'll be around.

I'm still having the same issue despite updating and rebooting exactly as per your instructions. I can see heart rate data when I view my heart rate stats, but it is not linked to my runs.
I have a new Inspire HR (about a week old) that I bought specifically for heart rate data. Iphone 11Pro, software version 13.5

I decided to raise this as a support ticket to find out through an official route if this is going to be resolved. Unfortunately, I have been informed that if you are using a Fitbit which doesn’t have Built in GPS and use the app to track a route, then heart rate info is not uploaded. Don’t understand why they cannot present the heart rate within the exercise summary, as the info has been captured. See below the reply
reply:
‘Upon checking, we were able to see a "Walk" activity this 31st May at around 7 PM and was tracked using MobileTrack. Please be aware that f you use MobileTrack in the Fitbit app, your heart rate might not appear on your device. For more information, see How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device?’

Further info:
If I let fitbit auto-recognize something (e.g. a walk), then it matches up with my heart rate info and will display my heart rate zones under the specific exercise.
If I log an exercise (e.g. weights), it will match up my heart rate and show it under exercise.
But if I track exercise via gps, using an app (running), it will not show my heart rate zones. This makes zero sense.

I'm not sure what Einstein from Fit Bit answered your comment but they were WRONG. My Fit Bit does NOT have a GPS and it uses my smartphone GPS. It tracks my exercises, heart rate, mileage, etc while walking, biking or kayaking.
Hate to say this but Fit Bit IT help is not the best.

Based on the preceding post from user "keeping_active", your model of Fitbit recorder needs to have GPS built in to also capture the HR data. I have an Inspire HR which doesn't have GPS so it too results in a "Not enough data available" error message when I record a walk through the app when I want to track a route. The app developers need to fix this issue because the HR data is captured on the recorder so there must be a way to link to the app. To not address this is just professional laziness for a leader in the field.

You are correct about Fitbit, the supposed leader, having lazy IT folks. They are either lazy or incompetent. This user site for example is one of the worst I have ever used. They try and use this instead of having competent team members monitor and answer questions.
