Fitbit app stopped working after the update

I updated my fitbit app recently and now when I open it; it’s just a white screen with the fitbit logo on top and after a while it eventually crashes. I have tried closing the app and deleting and reinstalling as have I tried rebooting my phone and to no avail can I get this app to work!
