Fitbit app won't open after the update

Last night I had to re-update to fix the cycle tracking problem.

This morning everything worked fine, until I powered my phone off and on. Now the Fitbit app won’t open- force quitting itself, it appears. The website doesn’t show any syncing after the app stopped working.
I’ve had a Fitbit for years, and it keeps getting buggier and buggier (some nights it tells me I went to bed at 1 am, not 10 pm like I actually did).

Continually deleting and reinstalling shouldn’t be required for the app to function. Are there any solutions in the pipeline?

I ended up having to delete and reinstall 3 times on Tuesday. And my sleep is still not tracking properly, even after the re-installs.

Thank you for your reply, @zooropababy.

I am glad to hear the issue with the app has been resolved, thank you for your efforts. Regarding the issue with tracking sleep, please try the following:

  1. Please confirm that your sleep settings are normal and not sensitive: What is the difference between the normal and sensitive sleep setting in the Fitbit app?
  1. Restart your device by following the steps from this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  1. Try sleeping with the device on your non-dominant hand if you haven't been doing it already.
  1. Confirm that the tracker is snug on your wrist.

You can find more information about tracking sleep in How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.
