I use the latest iphone update on my phone, I have a brand new fitbit charge 3 watch and my problem is the following. Eventhough my watch is syncrhronized and I read the messages (gmail, calendar, whatsapp, facebook), the watch still shows them as unread, they are still visible and I need to clear them one by one all the time. Any useful tip how to het rid of this annoying feature? Thanks!

Hello again @nellifit

Thank you so much for clarifying the situation. I would suggest restarting your Charge three and see if that resolves the issue. Here is how you restart the Charge 3:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button to restart your tracker:
    • For Charge 2—press and hold the button on your tracker for 4 seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
    • For Charge 3—press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

😃 please let me know if this resolves the problem. Keep me posted

Hello and welcome to the Fitbit Community @nellifit

First and foremost congratulations on your purchase of a new Fitbit Charge 3! I see you have a question about notifications and how to clear notifications once you have read them. Here are some notifications tips you might find helpful:

Notification tips

  • To delete 1 notification, tap the notification > Clear.
  • To delete all notifications at once, swipe to the top of your notifications and tap Clear All.
  • If a notification is long, tap it to see the rest of the message contents.
  • To exit the notifications screen, press the back button or swipe up.
  • If you clear a notification from your device, the notification is removed from your phone's notification center. If you clear a notification from your phone, the notification is removed from your device

😃 please let me know if this answers your question and if it does could you please tap the “Choose as Best Answer” box just under my post? Doing so really helps other individuals who come to this community looking for answers to questions similar to your own. I’d really appreciate it!

Hello,

Thank you for your answer, but actually it was not what I was looking for.

I know how to delete the notifications on my watch, the problem is, that even though I read them on my phone, in the applications, they are still stuck there on the watch.

For example let’s take yesterday, the whole day I was messaging on whatsapp on my phone, all the notifications stayed for the whole day on the watch, as if I never read them or answered on them. This is really annoying.. These should automatically be gone once I saw a message.

I had a Garmin watch before and it did its job, once the messages were read on the phone, it would disappear from the watch on its own.

Please let me know how this can be fixed,

Thanks!
