Why does the Fitbit dashboard show im a woman when I look at heart rate or sleep records? My profile information clearly reads I’m a male.

@SunsetRunner
The cartoon picture that shows up in your profile clearly shows your a male.
What are you seeing that states your profile is female.

@ACG -
I believe @SunsetRunner is talking about the app dashboard - specifically the Cardio Fitness score panel on the Heart Rate page and the Benchmark panel on the Sleep Stages page.
In my app they both have text stating "for men your age".

Ok, so if I go to the ‘sleep tile’ and then to the ‘today’ sleep graph then press ‘benchmarks’ it says “ ranges for women your age”. I’ve also had similar comments in the ‘heart rate’ tile, something like “for women of 40 to 49 years of age”.

I’m using a Charge 2. I really like it apart from this problem.

And I'm still using my ole faithful charge that has been working flawlessly for almost 2 years.
Just can't part with it just yet.

Hello @SunsetRunner, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board, it's nice to see you around too @ACG and @MrMarv, thanks for your insight about this situation. ![]()
@SunsetRunner, please note that issue happens generally when no gender is selected when creating an account. Don't worry, this can be resolved fairly easy. Please try the following:
Now, the benchmark for sleep will show the correct data.
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome!

PROBLEM SOLVED!
Lol I have an android and an iphone both display the same issue. I decided to save my profile as a woman and then saved it as a man....Yes it works! Now I just saw your note Fitbit should be able to fix this with ease. Error when setup as a man it keeps displaying you have one more thing to do to complete the setup. That's your gender. Even you save it as man it does not see it as a update save.
