I just walked over 5 miles on my phone it had over 14,000 steps. My Fitbit only recorded 5103. Been having problems with this device since I got it. Please give me back my steps.

Thank you

Hello @Ines_cabrera, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have brought this to my attention. Tell me, which tracker are you currently using? Have you restarted it yet? Were you pushing a stroller or a shopping cart while walking? Please note that if you're doing something like pushing a stroller or shopping cart, your wrist-based device will count your steps but the total may be slightly lower than usual.

If you have already restarted your tracker and you're not pushing a stroller or a shopping cart, my best recommendation would be going to the Fitbit app and tap on Account > Your Tracker and make sure your Handedness is set correctly to the wrist where you're wearing your tracker, then monitor it for the next day to check if this helps. Additionally, you can add the missing steps as a manual activity

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

Good morning,
I have restarted my charge 2 over 3 times. I just walked this morning, again and it did not count my steps. I walked over 12,000 steps and it is saying I only walked 3,200. This was a replacement for a charge HR that the wristband ripped. It was my 2nd Charge Hr that the wristband ripped (bubbled) in a year and 3 months. I believe they must of sent me a Charge 2 that was refurbished that is not working properly.
Thank you,
Ines Cabrera
