Fitbit has stopped syncing with Noom

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Up until a few days ago, my Fitbit Ionic was syncing perfectly with my Noom app. Now it's not syncing at all, no matter how often I refresh the connection or hit "sync now." When I try to start over again at the beginning (disconnecting the apps from each other and reinstalling), now Noom is no longer available on the "supported apps" list. How is it possible that this worked fine before and now it's a total waste. I bought the Fitbit so I wouldn't have to use the Noom step counter because I don't want to carry my phone with me every moment of every day. Help!

Hello and welcome to the Fitbit Community @NancyH2212

I see your having trouble syncing to Noom. Because it’s an add on app I’m moving your post to the Fitbit App Galaxy here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Fitbit-App-Gallery/bd-p/appgallery

This will help you get more exposure and relevant answers to your question. 😉

That defeats the purpose of having the Fitbit sync with the app. It worked perfectly a few days ago and was in the supported apps list. Now it doesn’t sync and it’s not in the supported apps list. What changed and can it be fixed?

Hello again @NancyH2212

My apologies for moving your post. In hindsight I should have thought about your syncing issues first. I will move your post back to the iOS App Forum.

Please first check here to insure that your IOS Device is compatible with the new Fitbit App:https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2315
If your are indeed compatible with the new Fitbit App there are a few things we can try to get you syncing again. Let’s try restarting your Fitbit Ironic. Here’s how:

  1. For Fitbit Versa and Fitbit Ionic, press and hold the back and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. For Fitbit Versa Lite Edition and Fitbit Versa 2, hold the back button for 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

if restarting does not resolve the issue try turning your Ionic off then on again. Here’s how:

On your watch, open the Settings app>About > Shutdown > confirm the shutdown. To turn your watch back on, press the back button.

If your still experiencing syncing issues I would suggest force shut the App and restart. Here’s how:

Turn off your Bluetooth

log out of the Fitbit App

completely shut down your device, wait 1-2 mins then restart your device

once your device fully loads enable your Bluetooth again

now log back into your Fitbit App as you normally would with your email address and password

now sync your device

😃 Hopefully these suggestions resolve your syncing issue. Please let me know

Same problem. It used to work perfectly. I’m wondering since google bought Fitbit recently if they did something strategic for themselves and bad for us

Hi @SunsetRunner -

I don’t see an answer to the question about Noom being removed from the Fitbit compatible apps section. The other suggestions you made weren’t helpful so I’m wondering if the issue is that Noom simply is no longer compatible with Fitbit. Please let me know. Thanks

@Elisemaz   Here is a link to the compatible apps.  I don't see Noom on the list.

I believe it is Noom. My get around is to either switch from Noom to a
different food tracker. Noom wants to use iHealth that comes on iPhones. I
don’t know about android. I add steps that are recorded on my fit bit that
are not on my phone. It’s okay. I loved when it was direct communication
but it’s not. Example if Noom says I have 1000 steps. But I my Fitbit says
5000. 4000 steps from running on treadmill did not record on my phone. I
just add 4000 manually to the health app. Then it transfers to Noom.

Thank you @Pat1234. That makes sense and I'll try it!
