Hello and welcome @MargoF

Thank you for coming to the Fitbit Community. I see your having trouble getting your Inspire to auto recognize  exercises. Please ensure your auto recognized exercises are enabled. You can check that going to your Fitbit App.

Heres how:

open your Fitbit App

find your exercise tile among your current challenges

tap the exercise tile in the center (not the plus sign)

tap the gear wheel on the upper right

Pick which exercise you wish to be recognized by tapping it and enabling it.

SmartTrack recognizes and records select exercises to ensure you get credit for your most active moments of the day. This feature only recognizes workouts or activities that have continuous, high-movement activity.

Some of the exercises SmartTrack recognizes are:

  • Walking
  • Running
  • Outdoor biking
  • Elliptical

You can also manually input exercises by doing the above steps but this time you do indeed tap the plus sign in the exercise tile. Once you tap the plus sign then tap the stopwatch located in the upper right. Now tap log and type in which activity you want to log.

As far as notifications, Fitbit is aware of the notifications issues. You can follow notifications issues here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Stopped-seeing-notifications-after-updating-to-iOS-13/td-p/3...

😃 Please let me know if this provides you with an answer to your question. Keep me posted
