Fitbit not syncing

My device is not syncing. My Bluetooth is pairing with all of my other devices just fine. I have restarted both device and phone multiple times. I’ve also deleted app from phone and restarted the fitbit memory itself. Nothing is working. My device also freezes on the start up screen until it dies and is now just continuing to do so. Please help. I haven’t  had my fitbit Versa one year before it began its decline. I dint shower or swim with it on. I don’t know how to fix the issue. Again, I need help.

Sync problems are not unusual and often sort themselves out over time.  One thing you don’t seem to have tried is to set up your Versa as a new device.  This can often help.

 

First absolutely do NOT remove your Versa from your account.  That can create many more problems.

 

Go to your Fitbit app, go to the account screen (that’s your person icon top left), and scroll down to “Set up a device”.  It will ask you what device you want to set up and choose Versa.  It will say, there is already a Versa on your account.  Do you want to replace it?  Say yes and then follow the rest of the instructions.  Hopefully it will set up and sync at that point.

 

If it doesn’t work you won’t have lost anything and your Versa will still be on your account.

 

If it does work, you won’t lose any data or any past information and it is likely to force a sync at that stage.  It is a simple trick that can often do the trick.
