Hi, @Lstephens50 , you do not need to join Facebook to add Fitbit friends.  You can do it if you know their email address or Fitbit user name.  On your app go to the community page (persons icon on the bottom).  There you can add friends using their email address or their Fitbit name, as well as via Facebook.

 

If you want to join Facebook you will have to do that first by going to their web address (facebook.com) and setting up your own account.
