Fitbit only syncs with HealthKit one week back

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi,

Sometimes I forget to run the Fitbit app to sync with my iPhone's step counter. When I do sync, it only syncs with one week of history, leaving zeros for all days older than a week.

Healthkit has all the data in my history, but the Fitbit won't sync it.

Can you please fix this?

Thanks,

Dave

Hello @bunkscene, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board! Smiley Happy

When you mentioned your iPhone's step counter, are you referring to MobileTrack on the Fitbit app? If so, when did you set up MobileTrack? Have you experienced this issue before?

If you just recently removed and reinstalled MobileTrack, that explains why it's only showing you the information from the past 7 days. Even though MobileTrack works on the background, I would like to recommend opening the app at least evey other day for the information to sync with our servers and prevent losing information.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please keep me posted! Smiley Wink

Yes, I am referring to MobileTrack.

Actually, this is not entirely helpful. As I mentioned, sometimes I forget to sync it up for over a week.

The data is available in health kit, so why will the Fitbit app only sync 7 days worth?  Why does it not just get all data??

Thanks,

Dave

Hello @bunkscene I hope you're doing well.

As previously mentioned, MobileTrack can only pull the information from the last 7 days from your phone even if more information appears on the Apple Health app. One way to make Apple Health share information with Fitbit is by downloading the IFTTT app from the App Store and link both Apple Health and Fitbit with it. I went ahead and found a useful post in the Apple Discussion board about how to connect the three apps.

Additionally, I would like to encourage you to check this suggested idea by @JustMe1234 to implement a way to sync both apps in the future, feel free to vote for it and add your comment, this is the best way to make your voice heard!

Give it a try and let me know the outcome!
