Fitbit versa

Hi

I reset my Fitbit back to factory settings. And now it is saying install app which I have. I’ve tried the button advice. It still won’t work. Also the app won’t connect to WiFi. Thanks Yvonne

Hi @SunsetRunner - since you did a factory reset, it’s now like setting up a brand new device in your account. Since it looks like you have tried setting it up in your current app and it did not work, I would suggest the following:

  • Check your phone’s Bluetooth settings. If the Versa is still listed, give the command to Forget This Device.
  • Check the Fitbit app on your phone. Is the Versa still listed? If yes, tap it then scroll down to Remove This Device. 
  • Go back into the Account settings in your Fitbit app and try to Add A Device. 

If none of this works, try removing the Fitbit app from your phone. Power the phone off. Give it a couple minutes, power it back on, then re-install the Fitbit app. Log in when prompted and try setting up your Versa again.

I went through many, many of the same trouble shooting steps on my Fitbit Versa when heart rate no longer worked - iOS upgrades, restart, factory upgrades, etc etc etc. nothing worked. If only thing it’s now worse as have to restart Versa each day to get it to now track steps. It still doesn’t do heart rate after all of this. Support offered 25% coupon same as Amazon price. And also tried to indicate due to display or band. 
I’m giving up as I’ve had 2 go bad in 15 months (1 they did replace, but kept charged so had to buy). My husbands also died after about 13 months and he got same coupon offered but went with Garmin given positive experience on bike Garmin. I’m looking at Apple or Garmin for Mother’s Day gift. Unfortunate as I was a huge promoter for the Versa as really loved it as my first trial with a wrist tracker.
