Fitbit will not pair with my iPhone

My fit bit will no longer connect to my iPhone.   I cannot update it, sync or anything.   I  deleted the app and reinstalled it.  I have turned off my bluetooth off and on.   I have rebooted my phone a couple of times.   I have followed all of the instructions except for "restarting" my device because I cannot figure out how to do that even after I read the instructions.    My device does not have a reset button anywhere on it.  I am at a loss and have spent way too much time on this.

I am having the same problem. After trying everything else I deleted the device finally and reinstalled it - still didn't connect. I turned my Bluetooth connection off then back on; it then immediately found my device and I got as far as entering the 4 digit number that appeared on my Fitbit but now it's been hanging on a "connecting to Fitbit" message for over 20 minutes.

I am also having this same issue. I have deleted the app and reinstalled, Bluetooth off and on. Deleted my device and tried to set it up again and it can't locate my device even when it's charging right next to my phone.

It's not your fitbit it's the app.  They are working on a solution and it's been over 24 hours now so hopefully we will all be up and stepping again soon.  It's a known issue and they are working on it so no matter what you try it won't work. Has to be fixed on their end.

got an fitbit alta for my wife.  tried to set it up and it snagged every step of the way.  starting with the new disclosure.   Then the email verification.   Then the bluetooth pairing.  Tried everything.  Reboot phone - remove/reinstall app/obviously turn bluetooth on/off ...even tried to install it on a new iPhone 8.   device will not pair.

if IT is this much **ahem** trouble just to set it up my wife will never use it.   I am returning it ASAP and getting another device.  NOT FITBIT.
