Flex 2 not syncing on iPad.

Since two updates ago my app has stopped syncing. It is the app not the flex 2. The app is on an iPad mini with iOS 9.3.5. Flex works and is seen by the app but it won't sync. Only way to get it to work is to uninstall and re install every time. That is too annoying!

Hello @Peetee, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, are you using other mobile device other than the iPad to sync your tracker? Have you restarted your Flex 2 and your iPad already? If so, I would like to suggest you the following:

  • Make sure you have a strong WiFi signal
  • Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around that might interfere with the setup process.
  • Restart your Flex 2 again, then plug it in and make sure it's charging
  • Restart your iPad once again.
  • Try to set up your tracker as a new device once again:
    1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
    2. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
    3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
    4. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and if your tracker is still not able to sync, please reply to me so I can check this further. Additionally, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply as well.

did this solution work?  I have a friend that has the 9.3.5 or 9.7 ipad and we are not able to sync.  She doesn't have a smart phone.  Help?  Should we send it back?

I appreciate your participation in the forums in behalf of your friend. At this moment I would like to suggest you to check if your friend's iPad is listed under our compatibility device list. If it is, try the troubleshooting steps I've provided above and let me know if your friend was able to sync their tracker. If not, please reply to me so I can determine the next step to take.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted!
