Flex 2 won’t sync

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

On Saturday my flex 2 stopped syncing with my iPhone app it just says ‘looking’ I’ve tried turning off everything and reinstalling the app etc but no joy. It has also started buzzing to nofitfy me of all WhatsApp messages?! It’s not even set to notify of messages so I don’t know how that’s happened or how to stop it?

Its clearly still connected to be buzzing for every message but it won’t sync any data. Any ideas?

Hello @Naomioh, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I appreciate you've let me know the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. First of all, please note that the Flex 2 is unable to receive notifications from Whatsapp, it only receives SMS notifications when they have been set up in the app. Now, in regards of your syncing problem I would like to ask you to check the following:

  • Go to the app and tap on Account > Help and check the app version. The latest is the 744 (2.46), if you have a different one, please update the app.
  • Restart your phone
  • Restart your Flex 2.
  • Make sure you have a strong WiFi signal when syncing.
  • Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around that might interfere with the syncing process.

If after checking these points your tracker is still not syncing correctly, let's set up your tracker as a new device to reset the connection between your tracker and your phone. Don't worry, none of the information already stored in your account will be deleted.

To set up your tracker as a new device:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  4. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.
  5. When a pop-up appears asking you to Pair your tracker to your device, tap on Pair and continue.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.
