Fitbit app disappeared from my iPad overnight

The Fitbit app disappeared from my iPad mini overnight and when I search for it in the App Store it doesn't exist. Did Fitbit get rid of the App for iPads, if so that's crazy, not all of us use iPhones and now my Fitbit is useless if I can't track my activity and enter the food I eat in the App on my iPad. I'm very unhappy with Fitbit!

Hi, @FitnessFreak928 , the iPad and iPhone app are the same, so you can go ahead and download the iPhone app to your iPad.  There was an update yesterday, I think.  I am having some issues with mine, but hopefully it will be okay for you.

@FitnessFreak928 -  As @Julia_G says, you need to use the iPhone app (that has always been the case).

Option 1.  When you go to the app store on your iPad search for "fitbit" then, when you don't find it, notice that there is a dropdown on the top left of the screen that says "iPad Only."  Change that to iPhone only and you will be able to find and download the iPhone fitbit app and use it on your iPad.

Option 2. Just search for "fitbit iPhone app" in your iPad's web browser (Safari), and you should see a link in the search results that will take to the correct place on Apple's app store.

Hope that helps.  Let us know.

Had a weekly progress email from Fitbit this am but there was only one day that had data.

Now I realise that the app has disappeared from my iPad but is still there on my iPhone.

Any clues please?

@colleenr5050 -- when you open the app store on your iPad, you can search for iPhone apps by changing the setting at the top left of the screen from "iPad Only" to "iPhone Only."  Once you do that, you can search for and download the official Fitbit iPhone app, which will work on your iPad.

Fitbit has not designed an iPad specific version of its app, so when you search the store under "iPad Only" you get links to 3rd party apps which cost money and may not work.

Thank you so much for this. Struggled to find the app that I had just deleted on my iPad for about an hour.  Couldn’t find it in purchased or anything icloud based.

Actually installed it on an android device and thought I’d have to use it on an android tablet,   But, this iPhone only option worked. Thank you very much!!
