Flex not working correctly after updating the app

Ever since the update the app has said zero minutes worked for every day. It's also not tracking the hours with 250+ steps per hour. One of the days I walked 18 miles and it said I only did 250 steps for one hour. Either I walked all night or I ran 18 miles an hour.  I've gone back and forth with support and guess what? they are blaming the tracker because it's conveniently out of warrantee.  never mind it worked great right up to the moment I updated the app. I've been thinking about getting a new Ionic but looking at all the issues people have had with them I'm pretty hesitant. I'm thinking Fitbit is heading toward bankruptcy. Too bad they are taking Pebble with them.

Hello @StuManFu thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

It seems very odd that your tracker is not working correctly after updating the app, have you tried to restart your Flex and your phone lately? If so, my best recommendation would be setting up your tracker as a new device to reset the connection between both devices. Don't worry, none of the information already stored in your account will be deleted.

To set up your tracker as a new device:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  4. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

Yes, I've reset the device and re added it. I've even tried it with 2 other trackers. I've also logged out of the app. Closed everything on my phone and did a restart on it. Still the same. I even deleted the app and re-installed it. It's not the tracker. It's happening on all 3 Flex devices I have. It started immediately after the last app update. Someone seriously hosed the coding for older model trackers. And of course Fitbits solution is to say it's my fault or try to upswell me a new tracker. Oh, and they said maybe I'm just not working out hard enough. I walked 91 miles last week. Still 0 minutes worked every single day and average only 2 hours of 250+ steps an hour per day. Yet the step count is there and the distance is there. I do coding. I know how these mistakes happen yet they refuse to even look. Poor customer support
