Food disappears from dashboard after being added

After logging food, it disappears from iOS dashboard.  This started happening a few days ago and continues. Very frustrating as logging calories is an excellent way to manage your diet.

Hello @FitForGolf! This is interesting, to resolve this, I recommend that you make sure you're running the latest app version. It would be a really good idea force quit your app. I'd also like to know if this happens with all the items you entered or if there is an specific one.

Hope this helps!

I am seeing this a lot now with the latest version 2.21 (487)

I am seeing this quite often.  I enter my food, and sometimes it acts like I didn't even add it to the log.  I go ahead and re-enter the same info, and it usuallly shows up in the log the second time.  Then sometimes the first entries end up showing up later, so the food is double entered.  A few times I have waited to see if it would show up before entering again, but there doesn't seem to be a pattern...a few times it has, more often it doesn't.  It has me at times entering the same food item 3 different times.

I recently got my Fitbit, so I initially thought I was doing something wrong.  However, I am certain it's not me!  I hope the problem can be fixed soon.  It takes a lot longer managing the app right now than it should because of this issue.

I am having the same problem exactly! Very frustrating cause it takes twice as long to enter food!

Also, I never had this problem before the latest release - it only started happening after I updated to latest version!

I've found that I don't have to log the food twice but if you close the app properly after food has disappeared and then open it back up again it will come back, but I do hope they fix this soon cause it is really irritating

Welcome to our Community my friends! Robot HappyI'd agree with @VivisFitbit @Plags suggestions to log out of the app and log back in. If that doesn't work, please know our developers are already working to get this fixed as soon as they can. While this gets fixed my best advise would be using the online Dashboard for anything related with food logging. The website shouldn't give you any issues with this.

Thank you so much for your patience, have a nice day! Woman Wink

Hi,

ive had a problem logging food since Friday 13 Jul 18. Not sure if there’s been an app update but I did the logging in / out and force app restart but to no avail.

anyone else experiencing the same problem and have a solution?

basically any time I choose the food to log (e.g. recents) it logs it or enters something completely different. I’m dining the logging of the food to compliment my training really useful.

appreciate if anyone has some guidance.

thanks!

Hi @YNWA81 this thread is for an old issue with food logging.

Over the last couple of days a new issue has started and fitbit are looking into it. Keep an eye on the following thread which has their latest updates:

As a temporary solution people seem to be able to log food via fitbit.com

Along the same lines, my app now adds door I didn’t add or duplicates food after I’ve added it. The food doesn’t disappear after I log out. It’s as if it’s trying to be predictive but it’ll add foods in odd categories or things that aren’t in frequent or recent.
