Food log duplicates (or more) same meal in a day

I wondered how my calorie intake for the day could have been over by 395. So I looked at the meal break down, and it shows my breakfast meal 3 times! That's not useful.

Also, would like to know what constitutes meeting my goal for the day (green bar), or being under (yellow bar). What's the right amount of calories in vs out??

Hello @Jfmyers welcome aboard to our community! I saw your post here and it hasn't received any suggestion so let me share with you some ideas. I've seen this issue before an usually happen when you are using a third party service to log food, like MyFitnessPal. In some occasions can duplicate your meals increasing the number of calories. So to avoid this in case you are using MFP, I recommend to review your Fitbit account on your Food Section and make sure there are no additional entries when you logged food. You can always delete this entries to lower your calories if are incorrect.

About the goals, if you are in the yellow bar it means that you are allowed to eat more food sine you haven't reach your goal. Once the indicator reach the green bar it means that you have reach your caloric intake for the day. Although this may vary. The Food Plan's tools update based on your foods logged and activities recorded by your tracker. Your Fitbit tracker is always watching, so the more you exercise throughout the day, the greater your calorie allowance will be.

Once you reach the red bar it means that you are over budget of the calorie estimation.

Catch ya later and see ya around.
