Friend requests not appearing. Friend request section gone from messages. have followed steps

I no longer get friend requests in the app. I have followed all recommendations in the forum to no solution. The friend requests section has simply vanished from the app. I’ve logged off. I’ve forced close. I’ve turned off Bluetooth. I’ve turned off phone. I’ve restarted phone. I’ve started Bluetooth. I’ve logged in.  Nothing. I have the latest version. I even uninstalled and reinstalled. Any help you be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
