GPS Map not coming up after run - Blaze

I have the Blaze. I went for a run yesterday and the map still hasn't come up on my dashboard on the app. The GPS was connected to my iPhone and has clocked up the right amount of miles but the map isn't showing up detailing the map itself. Any ideas?

@SunsetRunner Out of curiosity, does the GPS map show on your Fitbit.com activity log?

I'd also recommend making sure that you have "Background App Refresh" enabled for the Fitbit App and that you have "Location Services" turned on for the Fitbit App in your iOS settings. Click here for more details.

Please keep me posted!

Hi

Background app refresh and location are on. No map isn't showing up anywhere on the app or the dashboard online.

Any ideas

I have the same issue.  to get round it I am using the walk option to track my running as the map still appears with walk - but it is annoying.

@suzmcryan Welcome to the Fitbit Community!

If it's a longer GPS workout, it could be the same issue mentioned here that our team is currently working on fixing.

@SunsetRunner If there isn't a map on your iOS App or on your Fitbit.com dashboard, I'm afraid the map may be lost. To ensure that this doesn't happen again, I would recommend:

1. Opening your iOS settings > open the Bluetooth settings > and forget the Bluetooth bond between your iOS device and Blaze.

2. Reboot your iOS device.

3. Restart your Blaze.

4. Re-set up the Bluetooth bond between your Blaze and iOS device by following the instructions here.

Hope this helps!

Exact same problem here using Charge2 and Android. Been in contact with Fitbit support on Twitter, they can't find the cause so far.

Hi, I've been having the same issue.  Have followed all the advice on here but still not working.  Has there been a fix?

Thanks

I have an android and the maps come up intermittently in my exercise log, distance does not seem to be a factor.    It's annoying because all my pace info seems to be lost along with the map.  May need to switch to using a different app for tracking my running 😞

this too has been annoying me as of late.  I still track my runs on the phone as I find the distance tracking on the Blaze to be inaccurate (but that's a different topic...).  Yesterday when I finished my 10K run @ 48mins, the map INITIALLY appeared within the Exercise dashboard.  Once I left that screen and returned however the map is gone and it is replaced by the "Heart Rate" bar.

I remember that the map (and splits) usually appears really quickly after each run but now it doesn't appear to load up as instantaneously as before.  I'm not sure what the reason is.

Also, I have lost valuable map/splits data recently as I figured the culprit was the "15 minute auto-detect" run/walk data that gets tracked on the Blaze.  I'm guessing the Blaze auto-detects has more priority over my GPS-enabled phone data and so my precious map/splits times are all gone and replaced with just Heart Rate/Calories/Impact.  That's depressing.

Also having the same problem, app seems happy enough as I run then when I press finish and it tries to upload what I have done the map disappears as if it is trying to load but never comes back. I dont have any splits my dashboard shows an exercise as if I had been watch alone and no phone with GPS.

It's the app.
I suspect you used Pause, Continue during run?
Pause, Continue is a known bug that Fitbit have known about and ignored since upgrade to 2.43 in March.

Ahhh! That might be it because I start it whilst I'm walking to the group meeting place and pause until we start! Thanks

Known bug.
Don't use pause, continue.
Pause, finish several discrete chunks of activity.

Happened to me this Saturday on my half marathon.  Did not hit pause.

Map does not show in activity log either.

Using Charge 2HR and and iPhone 6S.

Disappointing as I'd really like to see my mile splits.

Not to knock on the response here...but how was this Accepted as a solution?

I also did not use the Pause function when this has happened to me.  I did notice that it seems to happen more often in places were cell coverage is not so good.  I am loosing my splits when this happens, so NOT happy, considering switching to another app for GPS coverage and splits.  Fix your software!!!

I may go back to Garmin.

Frustrating!

1. On the Charge2 no Walk or hike tracking. I use run or elliptical to track a run or hike

2. . No mapping. Start  of the activity I see the map on my android. It is the new phone only on-month-old and the fit bit and application only a month old. It track and showed the Mac or the course the first couple of times. Now when I finish press and hold pause stop or finish it shows a circle loading the map and the activity but never finishes it ends up being a blank screen with only Heather’s. It says map doesn’t show a map and does not load onto my Fitbit app when I login or on the app on my phone.

I think I should’ve stuck with my Garman products which are use for cycling. I was hoping to move to fit bit to charge to seem like a good idea
